Cocolife- Part 2

Hello everyone who commented on my blog about Cocolife!!!

Thank you for commenting and sharing your experience.

As what I have written on the comment section, i guess the company (and the product) itself is not a scam. It is the people who run the branch office on the malls. They use the tactics that looks like a scam…they push you to buy something that is not even explained fully and as the client you weren’t able to think about it because they would say that the promo is good for that day only.

A good friend of my husband introduced us to a group that is mentored by Bo Sanchez. As we go and attend the seminars, I noticed that it is the best group that teaches us about investments. It teaches us about the company and the product before we can invest. And you know what? Cocolife is part of their affiliated company. I haven’t gone to the seminar about Cocolife but I would love to attend. Since, I have questions about their products and also to let them know the way their agents do when approaching and selling their products. Don’t worry guys, i will ask them what everyone of us is worrying about.

As soon as I finished the Cocolife seminar, i will post it here so everyone can be assured that (hopefully) it is not a scam.

Thank you all guys!

Finasia Global Marketing Services Scam

Someone called me from Finasia Global Marketing Services, her name is Jen (if I’m not mistaken.) She introduce to me  about the Platinum Card that gives lifetime discount on services availed thru them. As what I understand from what she told me, they are affiliated with BDO and the Platinum Card is given to selected cardholders; and from my understanding is that i can use the platinum card on any establishments as it is in connection with BDO credit card. And she told me, that a courier will deliver my card.

And the courier came, he asked for an ID and my BDO credit card. When I went outside carrying what he asked for, I saw a credit card swiping machine on his hand. I was alarmed. It  never occurred to me that they will charge me right away, as what she told me over the phone that I have the chance to choose over the modes of payment that is convenient to me. I asked her that when the card arrives will they include details that i needed to know and she said yes. Back to the courier, I reached for the paper that he asked me to sign. I read the paper. It says that I have to pay one-time fee of more than 4000 pesos to avail the lifetime discounts and all the transaction shall go through them to avail the discount. So, it comes to me, that they will serve as liaison officer, doing things like making reservation on airplane tickets, room accommodations, passport renewal etc. Well,  these things I can do myself.

The courier handed me the phone to talk to the lady again….i told her that I don’t like the card. I don’t need a purchasing officer for me to do things that are easy to do nowadays. I can do it myself as easy as 1,2,3. She insisted and pursuing me to get the card as it is beneficial for me and when I did not show any interest at all, she insisted that the card is pre-activated and I have to give the courier a 200 pesos for that. Still, I did not gave in. I told her i did not sign anything and not giving any money for the things that i am not availing. So, the courier left.

I searched for the Finasia Global Marketing Services, and this is what I saw. Coming from the SEC.

ChildHaus 2014

Last quarter of 2013, my sister and I decided to have our birthdays (in 2014) be a different one. Different from how we usually celebrate it. So we have decided to have it at ChildHaus, together with the children of the institution. CHILDHAUS- It is a temporary shelter for the cancer patients from the far-away provinces, undergoing treatments here in the metro.

So…. in order for us to give more, so this is what we did.

We did garage sale to sell things that we don’t use anymore (or should i say, we don’t use at all) to get more money to buy more stuff for giveaways. I gave a portion of the profits I made from my business as an organizer. My husband pledged to provide for the clown, but since we only have 2 hours for the event with the children of ChildHaus; we just bought 1 sack of rice and the excess money was used for additional toiletries. My sister gave portion of her savings. We also have friends who helped us for the preparation of the food and for the entertainment/ set-up.

I would like to take this chance, to thank all the people who wholeheartedly given their resources, time and effort to make all of this possible. And they are: Arnel, Teacher Alice, Ej, Ning & Bryan, Claire, Ria, Rodilyn and our mother, Judith. May the Lord Above bless all of us!

On Feb. 22, 2014 we did a small community outreach to this institution…

For those who wanted to share their blessings to ChildHaus, you may contact them at 0916-4252927 or you may visit them at 90 Mapang-akit St. Quezon City.

It will surely give your heart fulfillment seeing the smiles on their faces. They are very grateful and accommodating. They are strong. They showed discipline and how to have fun. They just…gave me pure joy.

National Children’s Month 2103

My goodness, been awhile since my last post. Well, my today’s post will be all about goodness. GOODNESS OF THE HEART.

This year as the head of the Parents Committee of KDCC 2013-2014. I asked the goodness of the hearts of Judith Bongon, Tess Baylon and Airostech Construction to help me in the solicitation and distribution of loot bags filled with chocolates, candies and goodies. And yes, they helped. 🙂

Last October 25, 2013, a celebration of National Children’s Month and United Nation was held at the court behind the URS Campus in Karangalan where the children of KDCC was present to take part of the event. Where they had a parade wearing costumes of different countries and a presentation. And lastly, to receive the gifts the benefactors have given them.

Giving time….

Indeed, it was a special feeling seeing a big smile on the faces of these little ones. That is why I am taking this chance to thank everyone who never hesitated to give what they can give. And giving me the opportunity to be your medium in helping others. May the Lord Above will bless you more.

Together, we did something good to make children learn the gift of giving.

God is good.

Today, joy has filled my heart. Another testimony that God has worked on HIS miracle thru me. As the president of Parents Committee 2013-2014 of KDCC, Mang Lito (maintenance crew) came to me yesterday asking for help to pay off his daughter’s bill from the hospital. I told him I would ask assistance from the parents. So today, I went to the school to personally talk to the parents and ask help in behalf of Mang Lito. So on the way to school, I was worried that I might not get enough contribution from the parents and worried that it might not reached at least 1,000 pesos.

And  while walking, I found a 1,000 peso bill on the walkway of our village. I picked it up and suddenly, it came to me that God has answered me already. I would not have to worry on how much I could collect from the parents, because now I already have 1,000 pesos.

But not only that, from the money collected from all the parents, it reached more than 2,000 pesos. So now, I have more than 3,000 pesos to give to Mang Lito.

It has really proven that God is working on HIS miracles, 24/7.

Hebrews 13:16

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

Paperbags for Sounds

I have posted my advocacy in this page GBP. Please see the link below.

On July 29, 2013, I have already given the speakers with built-in amplifier to KDCC. It was received by Teacher Alice S. Andres, our day care worker.

The speakers

Thank you GBP for allowing me to post and giving me the chance to meet new people and to be their instrument in helping KDCC children.

I wanted to acknowledged Auie Serrato and Makin Qomi/ Mai, for they have purchased paperbags. Thank you so much!

The speakers cost 2999 pesos. I sold 700 pesos worth of paperbags. The balance was shouldered by AirosTech Construction. ATC wants to give thanks to Bongon Family for the project that enabled ATC to contribute.

It has a warranty of 1 year. I am keeping the receipt for safety purposes.

Again, I personally want to give thanks to all the people that made all of this possible. And most of all, Thank you, Lord!

2 Corinthians 9:11-12

You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.  This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.
